ABV (A Better View) is a creative agency and gallery space in Atlanta, GA. Founded by artist Greg Mike, the multi-platform studio specializes in translating the visions and desires of clients into striking visuals and superb products. The 1200 square foot gallery space, available for exhibitions as well as pop-up stores, features pieces from a variety of contemporary artists and designers. Combining the design studio with the gallery, ABV develops and exhibits vital, engaging work that challenges expectations.

The Atlanta BeltLine, Inc., has announced the 30 visual and performing artists who have been selected to contribute to a festival/exhibition to take place along eight miles of former railroad tracks between May and October.
As befits the christening of a public space,“Art on the BeltLine” embraces a wide variety of works. EyeWriter
The EyeWriter project is an ongoing collaborative research effort to empower people who are suffering from ALS with creative technologies.
It is a low-cost eye-tracking apparatus & custom software that allows graffiti writers and artists with paralysis resulting from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis to draw using only their eyes.
Members of Free Art and Technology (FAT), OpenFrameworks, the Graffiti Research Lab, and The Ebeling Group communities have teamed-up with a legendary LA graffiti writer, publisher and activist, named Tony Quan, aka TEMPTONE.This international team is working together to create a low-cost, open source eye-tracking system that will allow ALS patients to draw using just their eyes. The long-term goal is to create a professional/social network of software developers, hardware hackers, urban projection artists and ALS patients from around the world who are using local materials and open source research to creatively connect and make eye art.

Art is a crime!
Because of YouTube, I have been reading about a lot of graffiti artist going to jail. Revok and Buket being the two bigger names going down. For some reason, it seems like its only in LA, but these are also the guys that are really out there pushing it. Revok was found not guilty, however, bucket was not so lucky. Getting 3 years in jail is pretty crazy for painting! Buket is known for his crazy day time paint spots, shown on you tube. He also has a pretty amazing blog about being in jail. This is his story of a journey that most will never take.Read it here!

Hense Art Show
For the people that didn't make it out to the hense art show, you really missed out! From the gallery to the art work, the entire atmosphere made it an all around good show. The gallery, The Railyard, located in the westside of town, was a good choice on where to have the hense art show. The art pieces went on sale for up to 10,000 bucks! It was a little out of my price range but nonetheless, still amazing.

New York Street Advertising Takeover
Finding it difficult to locate a strip of space free from any advertising, Jordan Seiler of Public Ad Campaign did some research and found many of the billboards around New York City are illegal. To propose an alternate use of these city spaces, Seiler organized the New York Street Advertising Takeover, a network of citizens set out to transform the spaces into their own works of art.Atlanta needs more stuff like this.
